Horizons Paint jobs, dashboard stuff etc

I recently bought Horizons, the pilot starter pack and the commander pack and so far nothing is showing up in the livery to do anything to any ship i've tried so far. I'm in a Viper MkIII at the moment but have also tried the Cobra MkIII and the vulture to no avail. I click on a paint or dashboard slot and it takes me to the store and tells me I must purchase whatever I want. Horizons seems to work ok because I can buy a buggy and go to planet bases etc. What am I doing wrong?
 
Nothing. Its works fine. Paintjobs and dashboard stuff are paid add-ons. This is an online game without a monthly fee, developing continues, devs need to eat something, and food is not for free :) Paintjobs are pretty cheap, and base game also. Buy a some skin for ship you like to support a game.

Sorry, I don't understand. The commander pack has this description - [FONT=&quot]The Elite Dangerous: Commander Pack contains a selection of 18 paint jobs for you to begin customizing the appearance of your ship in Elite Dangerous. Items included in the pack are as follows: [/FONT]

Unless i've completely lost the plot, I should have these paint jobs.. or what exactly did I pay for? Cheers!
 
The starter pack which I also bought has this description: [FONT=&quot]The [/FONT]Elite Dangerous: Pilot Starter Pack includes a selection of items to enable you to begin customizing your ship both inside and out.

This starter pack of cosmetic items will grant new Commanders access to 12 Paint jobs and a dashboard Bobblehead with which to customize your ship.

Items included in the pack are as follows:


  • Sidewinder Military Paint Job Pack
  • Eagle Tactical Paint Job Pack
  • Male Pilot Bobblehead
Grand total of £23 for content I cannot even access, and a forum member telling me I shouldn't be able to access anything unless I purchase paint jobs.     lol. Now, i'm all for supporting the devs, but either this is a wind up or i've just been royally ripped off. I hope someone can clarify!

Had the same problem go to outfitting > livery > dashboard > example decal right left click on it on the right you see browse choose one
the same works for the bobblehead works on all ships
the paintjobs of course only for the ships you bought

Thanks mate, but sadly nothing there. When I click on browse it just has that blue strip which says 'buy game extras' and takes me to the online store. Same with the paint. I've left a ticked with support now anyway, it definitely seems the content is missing for me.

Sounds like there may genuinely be a bug so support should be able to help you out (they are pretty awesome).

I find there's a delay. Sometimes I've had to restart the game for them to show up. If you've sent in a ticket they'll look after you.

If you bought the package in the Steam sale then you need to go through the product key process - have a look on the FAQs on the Frontier Support website. If it wasn't bought through steam then you need to raise a support ticket, also on the Frontier Support Website.
