Paintjobs and Ship Kits - Sorta Like "Itchy & Scratchy Money"

Dressing well is not about spending time in front of a mirror.
It's about making an impression when you're out in the world.

Just because you can't look at yourself all day doesn't make it useless.
It's about how you appear to others.

Absolutely. However, I've got to note that your message is somewhat diminished by posting a shot of a ship that looks like a badly painted Jack-o'_Lantern....

[squeeeee]

I had to stop wearing that one because some imperial YouTuber favours the pumpkin Asp with the EGX decals.
Didn't want to be mistaken for a Duval loving slave driver.

Actually I do tend to go for garish.

Think I'm going to grab another Aspx and paint it military pink myself. I already have the pack so why not?

Personally, I've always felt that dressing well is about how it makes you feel about yourself. Even if I played solo 100% of the time, I'd still be buying skins and ship kits, simply for the connection it gives me to my ships. Unpersonalized ships are simply throw away ships.

^ Don't listen to that old Duval loving slaver! He drives an Orange Asp... Reminds me of a joke about two pumpkins that went missing after someone called Kim sat on them...

For me the skins are nothing to do with what others think but how I feel about my ship. I see countless Cobra MkIII's all bearing the normal blue. I see many with nice paint jobs as well as just a few that have kit parts on them but not one of them looks like my Ahhotep after she'd been pimped out in Ice white and given extra wings.

What do paint jobs and skins do? They make any old ship into something personal, something to be proud of.

The less interesting I appear to others the more likely others are to leave me alone, and the more others leave me alone the happier I am.

So don't expect to see me touring about in custom-painted, kitted ships with junk all over my dash, sporting colored lasers and vapor trails, because it's just not going to happen.

And a ship is just a ship. It's the pilot that makes it something special.
