What are we?
“We are an association of Mil-spec soldiers, Traders, explorers, and much more, united by the will to promote liberty and to improve the well-being and cooperation in the galaxy by ensuring safe trading, mining and exploration.”
“So, are we a group of selfless altruists helping the helpless because it warms our hearts? No, we are not. There are certainly Commanders in our ranks who fit this description, but the Paladin Consortium is a diverse group harboring a lot of mindsets, some might be benevolent Knights in white armour, others prefer earning their bucks with more shadowy endeavors.
Truth is though, that we hail from the early days of colonization, and though we settled in a long time ago, we still carry that kind of life within us. Being pioneers, being neighbors to one another and helping each other to prosper and overcome hardship in order to grow into a stronger society. These are the virtues we still hold sacred, transferred to the galaxy as a whole.
We do not suffer bullies, we do not tolerate raiders or exploiting warbands preying on those who yearn to live in peace. Not in our space, not anywhere else.”
Who are we?
In the early days of space colonization, when intergalactic travel was still very dangerous and hyperjumping took days and weeks, a few colony ships, led by a Commander calling himself “Big Pappa”, left Sol for the star cluster around LFT 37, colonizing Nemet, a remote system with a lot of opportunities around it.
The first settlers established an outpost, later an orbital station and extensive mining endeavors in the system. Extraction was a very lucrative business back then and the colony thrived and grew and expanded into the nearby systems, establishing alliances with their neighbors.
When terraforming became a stable and reliable process, the allied systems started the LFT 37 project, turning the high metal content planet in that system into an earth-like world with vast agricultural significance and to become a new home for the colonists.
Over the centuries that planet became the center of operations and some of the colonies around it developed into the Houses that now form the Consortium. Still diverse, and still very much their own, they all can track their history back a long time and lived through a more savage period of human history where standing together and helping each other out was mandatory. Andhrimi, Isisi, Nabat, Nemet, Phoenicia, Segovite, Tavgan and Qarato, the eight Houses of the Consortium, may each be autonomous, but are still united as one in the Paladin Consortium, standing for these early, but still vital, virtues of humanity.
What do we do?
The Paladin Consortium has been around for a long time, featuring an established minor faction in the game and two hands full of systems we can call our own. While PalCon is politically independent, it is governed democratically and opposes dictatorship and tyranny as a general concept. As such it’s part of our agenda to help other groups against such threats, as well as being a constructive force in the Galaxy in general. Recent operations include our involvement in the Thargoid incursion, allying with other player groups for station repair and also combat.
We offer a mature community. Our members range from new players to seasoned veterans favoring many different playstyles on all available platforms. Communication happens in English, but we welcome Commanders from all around the globe. If you value your autonomy as a Commander and still want to belong to a group, having friendly people around you, PalCon might be for you.
