It looks like there will finally be an alternative to the Sims which would mean the end of the monopoly EA has on The Sims.
Not much info is available yet but it looks to be a full life simulator with hopefully more building freedom than the Sims 4 had.
Will this game be the saviour of the Life Sim genre? Just like how Planet Coaster saved the theme park building genre (Rollercoaster Tycoon) and how Cities Skylines saved the city building and managing genre (SimCity).
Wondering how it would turn out. I must admit i'm not that happy about the current art style, seems a bit like the Sims 4 art style, too cartoonish for me. But as this will be heavily focussed on modding i'm positive this game will be perfect for PC gamers that like to have freedom. If anything this game will probably force EA to make the Sims 5 a fun building and open world game again like the Sims 3 was, as this game appears to be doing exactly that.
