What exactly is the new size equivalent to? Is it bigger or smaller than RCT3's 254 x 254? Would King's Island (without water park of course) fit on the new size? It just barely fits on RCT3's largest size and that's either making it not to scale or having part of the CTR Beast go outside the park, in which case the custom supports won't show outside the 254 area just the track. There is so much stuff made for RCT3 that is lacking in PC, look at all those cool flat rides by CFH, Steel Rides, and others that are not in PC like Musik Express, Whip, and Red Baron kiddie planes, etc. I miss billboards, too but the new type on signs are nice.

I was also curious how big the parksize was compared to rct 3.
When the game was still in alpha phase I measured the width and lenght of the park.
I used a path with width 4 and counted how much "blocks" were needed from end to end.
the amount was 128. If im am not mistaken the area of rct was 256?.
So the area of alpha phase compared to RCT3 is 4 times smaller.
The size of the park area in the released version is 2.5 times bigger than that.
BUT, in planet coaster you can utilize the area much better. I think you can fit more people on the width 4 path than you can in RCT3, The rollercoaster can be formed easier. if you want you can make a big park underground.
So my conclusion is. Yes and no.
The park area is smaller but the utilysation is way better.
Compared to RCT3, the Planet Coaster Alpha Size was 128x128
RCT had a maximum size of 254x254 (so slightly smaller than 256x256)
Now Planet Coaster is 2.5 times bigger so the size of Planet Coaster compared to RCT3 is 160x160
But it's not a perfect square, it's more of a rectangle, so the real size of Planet Coaster is I think 130x190 or something (correct me if i'm wrong)
The Paintable area in Planet Coaster still seems to be bigger than the buildable area. The paintable area is rougly 254x254 just like RCT3, so I do hope we will be able to buy that and build on that too soon.
