I think I will just continue to wait for JWE. I have to stop myself from buying crappy Dinosaur games on Steam. They are either unfinished or not very good.

besides it's on 7 months till JWE is released. :)

Mesozoica was just released on Steam. I honestly don't see the point with JWE on the way. The people who made it called the game the spiritual successor to JPOG but that would obviously be JWE. It's early access and looks pretty unfinished and they are asking $26 for it. Ouch.

It's bizarre that all these dino themed park building games have seem to appeared on steam just before JWE was announced. Very unlucky for them. I don't think any of those will ever be able to stand head to head with Frontiers title. JWE is definitely a major threat to those early access steam titles.

They probably will never be able to compete with JWE. They will have to carve out their own fan base in the market. I imagine it will be people who want accurate dinosaurs, at least as accurate according to the most recent scientific findings anyway.

I don't think they have much choice, it either release now or be made irrelevant by juggernaut that will be frontier JWE.

Have you been following Mesezoica? Seems to be a complete disaster. 3 years in production to produce a Tech demo that is so buggy I've heard Elma Fudd is looking for it, Complete silence from Devs and now they have been waiting for 3 months to get an update and just been told "We don't know when it is going to go live"

I used to follow Mesozoica a little and Prehistoric Kingdom as well. But they were never games I was obsessed with or was excited over. Not like this game. Prehistoric Kingdom is the only one that looks like it may have promise IMO. But it's still not ready for the public I believe. It still won't be able to stand up to JWE. It's sad cause it will get stuck living in JWE's shadow.

For me it's not just about the Dinosaurs. It's about Jurassic Park and the nostalgic feelings. That's why I am so interested in finding out if there is anything from the Jurassic Park movies in the game, besides the Dinosaurs of course. I mean a visitor center, the green and red jungle safari vehicles and possibly the iconic Jurassic Park gates. It's what I grew up watching. I will still like the game if all we get is Jurassic World themed stuff in the game though but I would really like to see some old school JP stuff in the game.

Good point. I see games like Saurian doing okay since its not necessarily a park builder, but will appeal to those looking for a more "realistic" experience. It's definitely got the isle fans money id say. A great game for such a small development team. Got to give them the props.

I would never buy a game like that, no matter how good the gameplay is.
Those graphics realy put me off, you see them in a variation of games, like astroneer.
I like a game to have at least a little bit of realism graphics wise.
