[Part 4 is here!] The Adventures Of Cosmic Spacehead

Hello, and welcome to my first official video ever....!

Part 4 has arrived!

I'm planning to make a series of short videos, with no real purpose other than showing off my epic lack of flying skills! Hopefully the quality of my work will improve over time, however, the quality of the video will not. Lightworks limits my video to 720p. Lol

Anyway. Part 1...!
Cosmic Spacehead's Stock Eagle Adventure
Having grown bored of flying a semi invincible Anaconda, Cosmic tries something new, well technically old, flying a stock Eagle.
In to a hazardous resource extraction site... :D

Here's how that one turned out...
(Contains mild language)

:D

Part 2 is here! Cosmic continues the adventure, but in an A rated, unmodified Eagle....!
Forgive the rather "skittish" fast forward sequence, it turns out if you compress a few minutes video in to just a few seconds, my PC goes mental, so I wasn't actually able to edit that part of the video much, and trying often just crashed my PC... Lol

Part 3 has landed!
Cosmic needs arsenic. I say no more.

Part 4 is here!
Cosmic looks for Chemical Distillery!

Enjoy! Or don't.
Feedback welcome. But be nice! Or don't.

you know aside from the python not being wanted, if it where wanted it would have been a much easier target then the I-eagle. A lot easier to hit and a lot easier to stay out of its line of fire.

The Python wasn't wanted? Hmmmmm didn't notice!

My next video I go after a larger target... And I have gimbals!
:D

The video production was technically fine (typo at the end - "waching"), the content was a little drawn out & the fight at the end suggested you hadn't really brought your A-game ;)

I'd probably watch another but there was nothing to make me want to watch that vid again. Good first effort production-wise though :)

I knew there was a typo somewhere.
My coffee failed me. That, and i never watched the ending past the slowmo bit. Lol

Yeah, it was drawn out (but I knew that atleast), still learning to cut scenes down better. (I cut out the Anaconda docking entirely atleast!) Still learning to use the camera suit, while flying, for better shots. But it's not easy to fly and move the camera at the same time. :D

I was actually trying to win, but I really can't use fixed weapons, not with my jittery gamepad anyway. And taking on one of the smallest targets with a flippin' railgun of all things didn't help either. :p

Next video might be longer, but will have more interesting content(I hope!), better scenes, and less childish "voice-over"(text). A basic story might evolve in to the videos too. (If I can think of one!)
I may use my own voice one day, but I hate hearing it played back to me. Nor do I have a good clean mic for recording.

Thanks for the feedback!

Atleast it killed 7 minutes while you wait for 3.0. :p

I enjoyed the childish voice-over, properly lol'd at the end.

Maybe that's just me ;)

ps. Hadn't seen it till now but I'm the star of your first video. You know, the wing mate who's nowhere to be seen while you're dying

I agree text is better than voiceover, I thought it was fine and the missile 'comment' was good. I liked that you used a completely stock ship, personally I'm much more interested in watching that than some mega buffed easy-mode loadout. The fixed weapons added to the content, you could make a series (or montage) of you practising fixed to show some improvement over time, ditto with pip management & other stuff like the occasional FA-off boost turn.

Your self-depreciating humour mixes well with any mistakes you make, I'd rather watch a player make a mistake, spot it & laugh it off (as Isinona does) than watch some perfectly executed kill that makes it all look easy. You don't make it look easy ;)

I did like at the end that your ship didn't even get the chance to say Eject the second time before you were consumed by the void.

CS.

Dying is very easy I'll have you know... :p

In my next video, I've already slapped a load of A rated, unmodified modules on the Eagle, and switched to gimballed.
However, the video does have some "little ship" mistakes.
My pip management used to be spot on, but my Anaconda basically just sits at 2/2/2 these days, so I've gotten lazy. :D

Making videos showing my "improvement" on fixed would be good, if I can ever improve. (I don't like to blame my tools, but my gamepad is incredibly jittery for fine control!)

I am planning to stay in the Eagle for this part of the series, but a stock Eagle is actually too difficult (and impractical) to deal with. Lol
My series is likely to follow my Eagle going from stock to A rated (which it already has, there's little point in faffing about in the middle), then slowly get modified under the new 3.0 system, and experiment with different weapons, and generally see if I can master small ship combat again (like I used too!)

Could do with a paintjob for it... :D
Naming and ID number will also be parts of the video.
Just gotta think of a good name...

Maybe "Ealge". Lol

Thou hast laboured and brought forth a mouse.
Well done.

I actually prefer text rather than voice over, so keep doing what you're doing Cosmic, that was pretty entertaining to watch. How about Cosmic Eagle?

Cosmic Eagle is pretty cool.
Keep the ideas coming! I won't reveal which name I've picked until the video. ;)

Most of my ships are named after, or inspired by, Sega Mega Drive games, particularly sci-fi shooters. So I may still stick with the retro theme. (Even Cosmic Spacehead is a mega drive game... But I don't even remember what it was about!)
The name will either be awesome, or just ridiculous.

Glad text goes down well with most people, saves me a job of recording between washing machine spins and my cat howling for dinner. And then of course the pain of having to listen to my own voice over and over while I edit. :D

Anyway, my next video is my A rated Eagle, back in the haz res...
The one after that will likely be something to do with Decait, probably in open, gathering materials for down mods, and probably crashing in to stuff. Or being shot down. Or attempting to shoot down other players, while having no clue on if I can or not.
If I'm lucky, they'll be an AFK Anaconda CMDR above the Farseer again, outside of the NFZ, so I can finally find out what happens if shoot out it's engines....

After that... Who knows!
