Hi all,

It's a too late for this but I was wondering - do you actually get the full value of the ship you are part exchanging when buying a new one?

I saw this because I got a Type 7 to do some trading and had just enough with my Asp to buy an Orca but with no gear or insurance. Now I have traded a bit in my T7 I don't have enough to buy the Orca still?

AFAIK you get 90% of the total ship value when selling it in one transaction. Sell off the modules first, you get 100% back for them when selling them separately.

well this still doesn't make any sense - I sold all the modules on my ship and still only just have enough to buy the orca with no insurance or cargo?

I guess you still lose 10% of the ship chassis no matter what as the T7 is only Part exing for 15.5m when its worth around 2m more

Always strip down ship to 'empty' shell before part exchanging and then buy a new one with part exchange (90%). Remember about insurance though. ;)
