In the new system in 3.0 where you can choose your reward from a mission you cannot take the commodity reward if you do not have the space to take it
It would be a very nice QoL addition to give the option of taking a partial reward even if it didn't increase the other parts of the mission reward.
I ran into this issue in my courier while trying to get ion distributors to unlock the shock cannon.
The mission offered 21 as a reward, the only mission I could find with the right commodity and to take it I had to slap a bunch of cargo racks all over my ship to just turn around and eject the 15 I did not need.
If I couldn't have taken the reward and had to get a larger ship just to finish the mission I would have been even more displeased, but the whole thing just felt unnecessary.
