Passenger CGs

Had a similar idea but as Linked CG missions, So my example was you had a Empire Debutante Gala passenger missions was to ship in high society strumpet to a big shin dig at a station and to support that bash and Ritch Daddy's Princess's you would bring in high end goods like champagne and dresses as part of a trade CG. On top of that you can have a bounty hunter CG to provide security from a pirate CG that offers rewards for goods taken and spoilt brats kidnapped (have to have a special limpet for boarding and kidnapping passengers)
 
I think passenger CGs would be great. They would probably be easiest to managed with a source station as well as a destination station. So you pick up all your passengers at station A who are all going to station B.

But there are other variations that could make some interesting CGs:
  • refugees from a station who don't care where they are going, just deliver them to another station in a different system
  • refugees who function more like rare goods do, so they pay more the further away you drop them off
  • passengers who don't mind what system their destination is, but want it to be a particular type of station (e.g. agricultural)
  • CG that wants passengers of a particular type, but could be from any station
  • CG that wants passengers of a particular type, and function more like rare goods do, so they pay more the further away you collected them from
  • CGs that require passengers of increasing passenger class for the CG tier and/or your CG level (start at economy, but require luxury for the top tiers)
  • CGs that start and/or end in a megaship rather than a station
  • CGs that start and/or end in a CG generated USS populated with Type-9s, a bit like distribution centres, rather than a station
 
just a thought, although I am an advocate of this idea in general
greater CG scope would be great

If you moved massive amounts of people in/out of a system (which would happen in a CG event... I am talking millions of people) would that effect the population of a system on the BGS?


probably not but it was just a stray thought.

but yeah, greater CG scope would be fantastic.. our group had an idea that involved looking specifically for water worlds, but we cant do that as exploration themed CG events do not support surface scan data... just the basic system scans... so any overhauls AT ALL to the cg mechanics to allow a little more variety would be great.

The way the BGS is set up at the moment, no it wouldn't.

But affecting the population of the target or source system should be one of the effects that is set up for each tier. But this would have to be changed manually by a Dev or Support.
