Passenger Mission / Passenger NPCs?

I know this may somehow be a low priority, or a no priority, but I was puzzling out a liner in Coriolis a while ago, and I was imagining how cool it would be to have passengers request a stopover at some station, or even some planetary attraction, and then actually get out and wander around for awhile.

I have no idea how this would work, and I see that it would probably be impossible to implement.. but I remember from the early days flying 2 persons somewhere in a tiny economy compartment in my Eagle, happily, then feeling kinda let down when they exited after landing just like cargo out of a hold.

It would be cool to have interaction with passengers of some kind beyond the message system request. They are technically NPC's after all, even if there aren't really provided with any kind of real presence.

Not to mention the existing requests are a bit well.... it goes like this (loosely paraphrased ;) ):

Passenger: Cmdr, please source 8 units of wine to make our trip more enjoyable.
Rabbit: Uhm, you do know that 1 unit is a tonne right?
Passenger: Uh-huh
Rabbit: And we're only jumping three systems
Passenger: Uh-huh
Rabbit: Like, we'll be thre in less than 15 minutes
Passenger: ...
Rabbit: And there's only two of you?
Passenger: ...
Rabbit: And you want 8 TONNES of wine...
Passenger: Uh-huh
Rabbit (muttering quietly): Better not puke in my ship is all i'm sayin'
