Horizons Passenger missions a quick tip or it will be ship scanned Eject Eject Boom!

Hi there.
I have just lost my Python ship, right at the end of a passenger mission. I was docking and I didn't read that it was a criminal mastermind
that I was transporting. 10 systems I went through even visited a high confict zone for him.
Then got to the drop off spacestation and was scanned. "illegal cargo"

I didn't have chance to get out of there or read the rest of the warning as all hell broke loose. I was dead within 10 seconds.

7 million credits lighter and it did make me laugh a lot.
Space Stations have some serious firepower this ship can kill an anaconda.

ship scanned wait wait wait and boom goes the dynamite

We could do with a page dedicated to passenger missions. to give tips on this new part of ED.
have a good one.

I would of turbo boosted into the station in solo mode or flown real fast to the backwall of the station if I had known. or packed some heat sinks.
lesson learned. I thought 5 million for 5 jumps was too good to be true. just tired and didn't read the small print.

Off to do some more powerplay not done any in 6 months of hauling stuff for AD and trying not to make passengers sick or dead on the way.

Another victim of this much discussed feature. Even some red writing on the mission board might be nice rather than this brutal outcome for the unwary. Im told its not working as intended and will be moderated...

They could paint it on the entrance to the station - WARNING - CARRYING CRIMINALS IS PUNISHED BY DEATH :p

I lost two anaconda to this same thing...

If I remember well, there is no status displayed on the right part of the screen when you have criminal passengers (nothing like "illegal merchandise" or "wanted"). That's misleading.

I just gave a guy a lift and it said plain as day, in red text, in the mission description that the passenger may be wanted in multiple systems.

I took the mission anyway.

As I was tangling with a Clipper the cops came along and I caught a scan as I was boosting away. 1000Cr Bounty in that system now but since I was aware of the situation I used my old Shadow mission skills and scooted into the station (and out) with no ill effects.

No biggie.

never accept this mission, even after discarding the mission you still be shot!!!!!!!

Yep had this happen to me on my very first passenger mission. I had just completed all the stops for the mission and was returning to the origin point. At first I thought my ship was destroyed cause I bounced on landing planet side then saw the message saying I had a bounty on my head.

It really killed me cause the mission was a sight seeing mission that was only worth 300k creds. I have since learned not to bother with sight seeing missions for less than 900k and even then pay attention to whether or not the passenger is a criminal.

had the same issue but instead of losing my python (this is my backup ship) I lost 2 beluga's and didn't get the option to get back thru the insurance for some reason,so that's around 180 mill credits I lost. To add to that my passengers were not criminals or otherwise, just normal passengers.
