Passenger missions - how?

Just a quick question... I took on a passenger mission, I can see it as active contract, so how to i mark the different locations as "visited"? For example, one waypoint is the tourist beacon in some system, right now my Asp is in normal space roughly 50m off that beacon, what do I have to do to mark that waypoint as visited?

did that already, there's no visual indication that I've cleared that waypoint, that's why i asked.

That being said, came across a nice white dwarf with moderately impressive polar jets along the route, and learned right there that it was a wise choice to install a heat sink launcher before I left 0.o

You can use the vague flares at the very end of those jets to overcharge your FSD. White dwarfs give you less boost than a neutron star, but there is a price. You will damage your FSD by 0.5% - 1% if you do it correctly. If you do it not correctly, everything will be damaged by 100% :D

So be careful, and good luck!

The visual will be a mail telling ye that was sufficient and to continue onto blabla...this will automatically update yer mission tab too. The target body isnt what what ye need to scan btw...the target body is the largest mass within the vicinity of the beacon and the scannable beacons dont show up on the map till yer within 1k ls of the target body which can be seen on the map regardless how far away ye are.

Thats literally as complicated as it gets ^

Are you doing the waypoints in order? I'm pretty sure you have to.

Scanning the last beacon before heading home will give you the "objective complete" blue text. Scanning beacons before this will not give you this text, but the passenger will send you a message asking you to proceed to the next waypoint.

A couple of times scanning the beacon has not advanced the mission for me. In these cases I gone into supercruise, dropped back into the beacon and scanned again, which has worked each time.
