Yes, I use the search function regularly actually as I'm sure a lot of people do. I don't give a monkeys how often this has been visited or to what length.
For you to generalise like that is ridiculous. You cannot just say all nerf threads need a nerf just because you think it sounds cute.
It all depends on the content and it certainly doesn't depend on whether or not it has been discussed before.

If this is the best you have as a contribution, I`d have preferred you not to reply in my thread at all.

Anyhow, that's not exactly what we do with PAX missions either, but with a little imagination (tm) it could be what you do when you take those Generals around. [haha] Though I guess, by what you're saying, the Famous Explorers we take out shouldn't be considered Explorers either since they aren't the ones doing the exploring right?

Nah! You can still go out and explore a city when you visit it. It certainly doesn't mean no one else has ever been there. You are just exploring something new and unfamiliar to you.

Like I said, I've been doing that with PAX missions.

Anyway I'm proud that my elite exploration rank is from actual exploration. I've been all over the galaxy and then some. 0% of it is from passenger missions. It's a personal thing mind you. I don't give a frak how other commanders get their ranks and ships.

And no matter what I say, no matter how much I boast or brag about how tough I am, in actual fact I don't want any trouble. If you so much as get the smallest scratch on the hull I'll cry, demand to get off at the nearest port and refuse to pay!

Now that the rank gain issue has been fixed, they do NOT need a nerf IMO, and are pretty much in line with the other moneymaking methods in the game (bulk trading etc). They are my favorite part of the game and should be left alone. They combine smuggling (avoiding getting scanned), running from pirates, exploration...they are great.

Mining needs a buff, bounties at RES/CNBs need a buff to bring them in line with other methods. Maybe buff the "kill the pirate king" missions too somewhat, maybe into the ~8-12 million credit range for the hardest ones where you're fighting a fleet of ships to kill a politician or whatever.
