Passenger Missions update

This is a suggestion to expand the current Passenger career

In my opinion, passenger missions are quite lackluster. There are three entire ships dedicated to passenger missions, and the most popular passenger route (Robigo) doesn’t even see any use of them! Short range passenger missions are mediocre, and long range ones are almost worthless due to the “Secretive” mechanic. Different passenger groups requesting different locations and refusing to share a cabin makes any attempt at “Cruise Ships” chaotic and wasteful. They are even outclassed by other ships. I think a revision of this career is needed to revitalize it and make the game more interesting

The missions:
Missions should be divided into subcategories:
-Transportation Route (Eco class)
-Private Transportation (Business Class)
-Exploration (First Class)
-Cruise Line (Cruise Liner Class)

Transportation route
Short range missions to transport common passengers in bulk from one station to another
These passengers pay the same amount and always accept economy class. They share cabins and make no requests during the flight. Profit of transporting passengers depends on the factors of the systems involved. The potential profits of these routes fluctuate in a manner similar to trade routes. For example, when a system is at war, many passengers will pay high prices to leave to other systems. As more civilians leave the system, the price of a ticket would drop. Taxi pilots will have to pay close attention to BGS to predict these patterns. Ideal ship: Python or Anaconda

Cruise Lines
Medium Range missions to transport tourists to a tourist beacon. Only available in “tourist economy” systems and only possible in a Saud Krueger ship.
When in a tourism station, the CMDR can see a wide variety of tourist beacons to choose from. These tourist beacons will vary in distance and pay, with farther ones yielding more Cr/Hour. For example, if I am in a Beluga, I may look at Isaiah’s Hope as a potential destination. I can see that a ticket to this beacon would cost 150,000Cr, and I can carry 200 tourists, so my profit would be 30,000,000Cr for the trip. Passengers will pack into high capacity Cruise Line Cabins (these replace useless luxury cabins). This will be the most profitable of all passenger missions, but will only ever yield credits as a reward. Recent events would open up major opportunities for profit as well. Ideal ship: Orca or Beluga

Private Transportation
Short or medium range missions to transport VIPs to another station. These can be Generals, CEOs, Criminal Masterminds, or other big names. They will accept business class cabins.
The pay of these missions is quite average for the time involved. However, you can build rapport with a specific client (accepting their fetch requests, completing missions) and they will continue to invite you back for more missions. Being big names, they can offer you alternatives to credits. If you have a good reputation with a general, they may offer a major discount on a ship associated with their superpower. A CEO may offer a large sum of materials. This opens a new method of obtaining certain things. Instead of grinding Ceos/Sothis for federal rank, having a number of Federal Navy clients helping you reach that goal would work instead. Ideal ship: Dolphin

Exploration
Long range missions to transport famous explorers to distant worlds. These missions are very time consuming, but pay substantially. They are similar to Private Transportation: You can build relationships with clients and they will return to you for more missions. Building a high rep with these clients can take weeks of exploring, but their offers are much greater in return. They may even offer pre-engineered modules, or unlock an engineer for you. Ideal ship: Any dedicated explorer

Bonus: Fleet Carrier routes
Use your fleet carrier to make a profit of transporting CMDRs to distant systems. You can set a route, which includes a price, time and duration. Provided you have sufficient tritium, your fleet carrier will become locked after setting the route, and the route details will be posted publicly by Universal Cartographics. Other CMDRs interested in the route can see the pads left, time of departure, estimated time of arrival, and cost. To join, they simply need to go to the carrier and request a pad, which will take the Cr cost from their balance upon landing. Once it is time to depart, the fleet carrier will automatically begin jumping to the destination and the carrier as well as the ships inside will be locked until they arrive.

I'd like some passenger missions with very strict time requirement. Like a race to cover long distance in short time. The faster you complete the more reward.

Also some sort of pirate raid missions from anarchy system. So that you may choose which settlement to raid and have to deliver a group within 1km range. Then you can join raid. Reward waries on settlement type, security level and if raid was successfull or not - one needs to choose based on characteristics of squad.

It's almost like these missions were only added to justify including 3 more ships to sell Horizons.

For common transportation missions we can imagine something like current airplanes. No dedicated number of passangers per mission. Just a destination with price per economy passanger and price per business passanger. Business class seats cost twice (or more) per trip and per passanger but less people are willing to pay. So instead of having a given mission you have number of business passanger and number of econmy passanger willing to travel to the same destination. You always fill all of your seats and get paid per passanger. Further is the destination in LY higher is the price per seat. And the only way to make use of passanger ships is to restrict any passanger cabin to only passanger ships.
