Passenger Missions

It bothers me that most lucrative Passenger missions are essentially smuggling.
Nearly all high paying missions are setup with Passengers that are Secretive, Criminal or both. This makes the ship design for passenger specific ships at odds with the mission design. Beluga, Orca and Dolphin ships are not particularly adept in the role - especially the Beluga. What is the point of having Luxury Cabins if most missions with passengers at that level fit that standard.

+1 There is need for more high paying missions that requiere VIP Passenger ships (Dolphin, Orca, Beluga Liner) with luxury cabin.

For now i'm only doing passenger mission in my Anaconda even though i have an Orca. For now it's just gathering dust.

Right. There is no reason to take a Passenger specific ship if other ships fill the current roles better. Anaconda is most likely the best in most cases with Asp Explorer being the better choice for a single long range mission. Luxury Class Cabins should afford more perks for passenger ships to make having them worthwhile.

Maybe Luxury Class Cabins could be shielded from Scans? That would be cool. Also it would be good to show Cabin Class in the initial mission synopsis, rather than having to view the details.

I'm rather surprised that that don't considering that first class passengers would want every amenity for the money they're shelling out for the trip. Although given what you're brought to the table on this, I would say it's time to re-examine these missions.

I certainly agree that luxury cabins need to be emphasised for some of the best paying missions, but re the second point; surely that's your own choice, which can be changed via RP? Unless the payout is the only thing you consider?

I tend to run refugees, security teams, and sometimes aid in a Dropship, and reserve higher paying civilian passenger work around the bubble for a Dolphin.

Exactly my point. Most passenger missions can be filled with other ships. The only perk the Passenger specific ships get is Luxury cabins. But there is no real distinction between Luxury class cabin missions and any other. In fact most of the high paying Passenger missions revolve around high volume economy class. Consider how limited the Luxury class cabins are in terms of passenger number and that limits their usefulness even more. Payout is important. Much of the game revolves around risk vs reward.

I real life Cruise ships do it one of 2 ways. Very high volume for less money. RCL has ships that take 3000 passengers at 3000-4000 $. Seabourn Cruises does 30-100 passenger ships at 20,000 Cost. Lower volume higher level cabins should by default cost passengers more exponentially. Instead, there is really no real big reason to use one cabin type over another in the game.
