Passenger Routes

I wonder if there would be any mileage in adding an additional passenger feature to compliment the existing passenger missions?

I was thinking about having a route based mission selection, either pre-built ones, or the ability to create our own routes? So we could run like a bus/train style route mission.

We'd choose our starting location and end location, with stops in between and passengers would choose to board at each stop and get off at different stops along the way.

I think this would be a nice addition to the existing station to station or sightseeing missions currently

Has been asked several times before, i think it will never happen as much as i want it to.
I'd like to see in-system runs too -cargo and passengers- in more dangerous systems they would come with defence ships/wing. Would be a nice feature.
