Passenger satisfaction should go up, as well as down

Currently, if something happens to upset a passenger, they'll become Happy (Decreased) or just plain Miserable. When this happens, what can you do? You can either abandon the mission, and take the reputation hit, or press on and hope for the best.

As you complete stops on the passenger mission, their satisfaction should slowly climb again to give you a fighting chance. Additionally, it should not be permitted for a scan as you return to the final destination station to cause an entire mission to fail. This is just plain unfair after all the time spent out in the black.

Overall, there should be more grades of happiness for passengers :)

Been saying that since the 2.2 Beta ;). Escaping an attempted scan should make a secretive passenger happier. Arriving at a destination within 10% of the alloted time should make time sensitive passengers happier. Successfully completing mission wrinkles should make passengers happier.....to name just a few obvious ones. The happier they are when the mission is finished, the bigger your bonus. It would make passenger missions more proactive.

On a related note, I think bulk passengers should have a bit more character-by giving them a single, random trait that normally applies to VIP's. Like some business people might be time sensitive, a bunch of refugees might be secretive....that kind of thing.

Excellent suggestion i think, but its a suggestion not within the scope of 2.3, so will move it over to the suggestions sub-forum.

Yes! Took a passenger all the way to SagA - they didn't like scanning so I couldn't even visit Colonia while I was out there :( If they got happier if they weren't scanned for 'n' syatems, or 'x' amount of time it would be better.
