Passengers Community Goal - feasible?

Hey everyone.

I've been thinking that now passengers are to be in the game in 2.2, would it be at all possible to do a Community Goal based on passenger missions? Fluffwise this could be something like a large outdoor music festival, or a major political protest camp or Occupy-style movement, or perhaps the Imperial Opening of the Senate in Achenar. There's many possibilities.

What could happen could be that you have to perform pax missions to that place and instead of raw numbers of bums on seats, there could be "points" per passenger. One point for cattletruck class, two points for business class, four points for first class, and ten points for luxury class.

Would this be worth doing? Would we, the players, participate? I certainly would.
 
I hope FD have built passenger CGs into the CG engine.

At a guess, a passenger CG would need to generate CG specific passenger missions that want to go to the destination station.
Or maybe it would be possible to drop of any passengers at the CG station, regardless of their intended destination. Some of these passengers may not be very happy about being redirected.

I was wondering if it could come under the contact tab, so you could, like PP Preparation and Fortification cargo, fill up your passenger cabins with a [+][-] selector.

Say the CG was to bring in Medical Personnel, there would be designated rally point around the Space where you can uplift the Medical Personnel to the delivery to the CG Station.

If they had a shared quota in each station, refreshing every so often to encourage people to pick up personnel from different rally points

Add the Trade CGs bring in the Medical Supplies and the success or failure of the CG in terms of story narrative could be determined by the successes of the CGs.

So we could end up with enough supplies but not enough personnel or vice versa or such.

That was one of the best things about the CGs in the Lugh war. They each represented an aspect in the war and who completed what first effected the outcome. I'd love to see more of that and having passenger CGs could be part of that,.

I've never done Powerplay, so haven't seen the screen you refer to. But sounds a good way to do this.
 
Colonization after a succeeded terraforming? Chain-CG? Or mass-escape from war systems or outbreak systems? Or from thargoid invasions? :D
But the best would be, colonization of Eol-Prou and Jaques. Bring as many people to the new world as possible.

I am necroing this thread as a passenger CG would be great, but the colonization of Colonia creates a great opportunity for this IMO.

Another possibility could be with the increase in unknown ship activity, some civilians could be fleeing the area seeing how it's even in Galnet now too.

Thoughts?

How about an evacuation, due to a war, ala Dunkirk? Or climate change on some planet, forcing citizens to evacuate?
