Passengers to Colonia?

I have not personally been able to verify this since the last time I was in the bubble (in 3.0) but then - at the Tourism economies only - there were definitely one-way passenger missions (both bulk and VIP).

Round-trip missions to see the tourist beacons can be obtained from anywhere, of course.

There definitely ARE one way missions. I have flown 2.

Tourist missions are return, as are famous explorer missions. But politicians, businessmen etc need to go one way sometimes. Remember that both tourist and famous explorer missions have a beacon as a destination. There is no where for a one way trip to drop them off. Whereas the other sortsof missions have a station or planetary base as a destination.

These one way missions are indeed rarer. Most colonia missions seem to run out of tourist economy systems, so naturally those passengers tend to be tourists. I have yet to find a system that reliably has one way missions, or figure out what conditions you need to have for those missions to be generated.

Are you POSITIVE that there are one-way passenger missions to Colonia? I am almost certain that no such missions exist. They are all round-trip, aren't they?

There are, and they pay very poorly compared to just taking courier missions.

But don't listen to me. Apparently, I'm the crazy one, and being paid less for a mission which requires additional equipment compared to it's counterpart which doesn't require any additional equipment is just fine.

tl;dr of that thread:
1 - 1.4 million for a data courier to Colonia? I think this is fine.
800k for a luxury-class one way trip to Colonia? I think this is a joke... but again, I'm the crazy one. Rejecting missions is apparently enthralling content for some people.

Anyways... @ the op, you won't find any decent paying one-way trips for passengers (all 1m credits or less). The only ones worth your time are all return trips (30-40m credit rewards) for tourist beacons.

I have been contemplating doing these long range missions for a while. About how long did it take you?

I try not to miss ELW, WW and AW when I go outsite the bubble, that means I honk and go scan those bodies. Because of that, the trips usually takes longer than needed for these missions.

I started Friday night, and by Sunday I was back at Robigo. I believe it took me between 8 and 15 hours, but note that I was doing some exploration and got several new discoveries.

I used the Neutron Highway, and every time I had to scoop, I tried to scan bodies and most of the times the system was not discovered yet.

Seems that the record bubble - Colonia is less than two hours, so you see there is room for me to improve if i really want to just deliver the missions.

ROBIGO has two stations, only one of which has a large landing pad the other is a medium. Though one generaly goes there to make bank hauling sightseeing passengers to Sothis and back. Which if and when one mangages to get allied will earn one the Aloith Permit and assit in ranking up with the Empire. And has numerious mission to the Colonia area, pretty easy to stack at least two or more per trip. It took my son in a Python 16 hours to make his first Billion Cr's. Just going to Sothis and back. Which is less time than it would take to a stacked mission to Colonia and back. And boosted his Empire rank status dramatically.

I flew out to one of the tourist stations someone mentioned in this thread (sorry not at my Xbox and I forget which one, so I can’t give credit), and can confirm yes indeed there are one way transport missions. Unfortunately, just as Jmanis said here, they pay poorly. It doesn’t even look worth it to me for the cost of mass and reduced jump range to equip the passenger compartment. I was hoping to earn some good credits on top of discovery data for my first trip out there. Guess I’ll check courier missions instead. Probably hold off until the update too.

Nemo are you saying you do a Robigo to Sothis run back and forth? When I login next, I’ll look to see wherrr those are because I’d like to earn credits and work on my empire rank some more without going back to Wu Guinagi that I grinded to get my Clipper 2 years ago.

dont bother with passengers...data missions are more paid and they dont influence on your jump range...just stack 20 of them.

Or better yet... maybe, just maybe... FD could make one-way passengers actually pay an appropriate figure.
