Pasteing russian into text chat

Hi all, anyone know how to paste russian so it is readable in the text chat???
try to do it from google translater but it only shows , , .
I've spoken to a cmdr but it would be easier to just copy paste the communication in russian.
is it even possible? , anyone have any experience with this??

I'm not sure you can copy and paste in to the chat window, but it would be a handy feature, for international communications.
Unless FD feel like adding Google translate to the chat window...?

CTRL+V will paste into the chat window just fine. The problem has to do with the font. Elite seems to use its own particular font, and that font does not support most special characters, let alone cyrillic alphabet characters, so you get , , . instead.

ED doesn't speak Russian. (Or many other languages!)

I didn't know you could copy and paste.

Rep+!... or Virtual rep.. not spreading it evenly apparently.

Is pasteing good english

Almost; English orthography being what it is, we spell it without the "e", "Pasting".Nuts, isn't it?

Unfortunately English clients does not even display Cyrillic messages, so we cannot even try to figure out probably relevant messages Russian commanders try to send us in chat window. Sharing space it could be beneficial though.
