Patch 1.0/1.1/etc ; I think I missed something...

Hey guys! Hope you're all doing well. I started to play E

4 days ago and I'm in love with it. But even if I'm a hardcore gamer, there is one thing I don't understand; Guys, how can I know that the game (ED) is on 1.0 (or more)? If it isn't, is there a release date for the patch? Where can I see it (and for other patches in the future)? I can't wait for it. Thanks CMDRs.

Current version is 1.1.06. You should see the version number on main menu screen and on launcher. Next patch 1.2 should be available pretty soon. It will notify you on the launcher when you can download it.

Yeah I've check them, but I see these updates incoming but are they in-gme at the moment? I downloaded the game on version 0.4.2150.0 and still I have not downloaded anything else than the game without patches. Is patch 1 still in beta?

1.2 is currently in beta, should be released today.

And when you download the game, it's including patches.

Version 1.2 is in beta, though we expect it to go live this evening (UK time). The current version is 1.1.06, and that has been live for a few weeks.

Hi, the 0.4.2150.0 number you are referring to is the version of the game launcher, not the game itself. If you are able to start the game you can rest assure that you have the latest version (1.1.06 at the moment).

Retu; I'm in-game ATM, and so in the main menu it says : Server : 51.155.145.127:19364

and on the bottom left of my launcher : V 2015.03.05.59635 / 0.4.2150.0 (0.4.2023.0 SERVER). This is why I don't understand you see, there is no 1.x..

Ahhhhhhhhhhh okay, because all the games that I have played in my life when there was a patch of something else, we had to download it VIA the launcher. But I guess they are installing it during the maintenance and not with the launcher. Thanks guys a lot

Hi. You wouldn't be allowed to play without the latest patches being automatically retrieved and applied first, so you haven't missed anything.

Yes, when maintenance occurs you will be kicked back to the menu with the station on it and Start will be greyed out. In my experience, you will then get no further hints that you need to log out completely, and reopen the launcher to (at some point) see that the Play button has changed to Update, to force you to download the latest patch; they may have fixed this though, so you now know you have to quit. I remember for 1.01 I think it was, I got kicked to the menu and I was waiting for hours for some message to appear to guide me to do something at some time, then noticed everyone on the forums had been playing for hours. Sad face.

Not true in my experience. I've received warnings that the server would go down for update 1.1 and all minipatches after that. The appeared both in my info panel (top right) as well as at the bottom of my screen.

It is true however that nowhere is mentioned that you need to log back in, in order to receive the new update.

As far as I know there are 3 types of upgrades but only 2 that you will see or have deal with yourself. The server side changes happen without you having to do anything. The Launcher update (in the past) will get you to download a new version of the launcher. The main one for the game will get change the Play button on the launcher to an Upgrade button... So yeah don't worry about not having the latest version, as others have said you wouldn't be able to play if you are not up to date
