Path system overhaul?

So I heard that the path system would be getting an overhaul post-alpha 2 but before the 3rd alpha stage, is this true?

The path system was updated in Alpha 2 and im impressed how fluid it works right now.
Seems to me there is nothing much left to update in the path system

It'd be nice to be able to block out large plaza like areas at the moment if stalls are next to each other it does some crazy joins
