Patreus: Kingpin behind the Emperor's murder

Nothing to see here. All Imperial factions are united. I suggest you read all the Galnet articles dating back for a bit. There are breadcrumbs. It wasn't any of the Imperial Powers.

I've been following Galnet. Patreus' own faction tried to poison the Emperor in the first place.

Tell you what, you find me proof that somebody else murdered the Emperor, and I'll retract my demand for Aisling Duval's head... and limit myself to demanding Patreus' as his negligence in failing to stop assassins from entering his own employ, resulting in the death of the Emperor, would still be unforgivable even if he had no knowledge of it.

They don't have proof, they just feel entitled to keeping the empire united because it's easier having 4 powers ganking upon everyone else and calling it a victory, despite the direct conflicts that those powers would have due to different ethos structures.

Aisling in an alliance with Torval is a plain joke, but they went ahead and did it anyway.

As I said, start with March https://community.elitedangerous.com/galnet . Also as all the player groups in the Empire are heeding the call for unity, plus that the Imperial High Command is united, means that there will not be any hostility between Imperial factions and any person doing so (in Open) will be dealt with. We will not be party to foreign tricks at this time when our Emperor has passed. The Empire remains united.

The empire remains so united that noone is helping Torval getting pummeled. Instead, they are milking her trade routes before she gets erased from the map. Got to profit from her last breaths after all.

The link take you to the site and next to it is a calendar. Simply click the dates you want to read about. You will find the first breadcrumbs early on.

There's plenty of clues. It's what Frontier love to do with their "Easter Egg" hunts. Anyhow, it's for Frontier to continue to develop the storyline.

We cannot kill senator Patreus, the ruthless federation would crush the empire in an instant. Although I don't exactly love Patreus warmongering, it is his military might that keeps the empire's enemies in check.

I also suspect whoever poisoned the Emperor is also behind the federation former president's "accident"...

They are already crushing Torval but the Empire seems to be more concerned with Archon. While at the same time smuggling slaves from Torval to Archon for profit.

There's nothing keeping the empire's enemies in check. Just the empire shrugging it under the rug and saying everything is ok for as long as they can profit.

They call it unity when in reality they are just waiting for which of them will be the last one standing to claim all the followers.

@dc83 As you state you fly with people from across the divide, I'll be happy to shoot you down. I am not pledged to any Power but I am Imperial. Actions against the Empire will be monitored. Oh and forget Mobius because it won't achieve anything to the BGS just shooting NPC ships. Come face me.

Then @dc83 you are wasting your time apart from shooting a few NPC ships for nothing. It will not accomplish anything except help you vent a little angst.

I think Hudson's too smart to try that. All his warmongering bombast is just hot air designed to please the voters and cement his domestic position. And if I'm wrong, and Hudson's as stupid as he sounds, the Federation will collapse under its own weight as soon as its military juggernaut heads out for the Empire and is no longer goose-guarding all its slave stars to keep them from seceding. The tax money will stop coming in; without funding, the fleet will crumble for lack of supplies and be unable to reclaim the lost worlds. The Federation will self-destruct, and we'll stop fighting each other long enough to keep their fleet from making any real headway before it happens. Count on that.

Their Dropships won't stand a chance against our Clippers! :)

The existence of the Empire is a crime against humanity.

I shall enjoy watching it tear itself apart, one burning hull at a time.

And no, I'm not a Fed.

Need I say it?

It's RP. (shrug) Shooting down player ships, or getting shot down by them, wouldn't really accomplish a thing either.

Oh too true. However wouldn't it just make your day to actually go face to face against a player instead of playing in ̶ solo mode.
