Pay discrepancy

Hi there. I didn't find anything on my search for this; I am curious about a discrepancy I see on exploration pay. I was out, and sold my data. In my commander's stats page, it shows about a 50 million increase in exploration profit from before the trip, which seemed to be in line with the 'sell page' values if not a bit less. However, when I look at my bank account I only made about 34 million in actual credits. When I analyze the rank increase (in Pioneer) I went from 51% to 77% for that run. My last trip that put 40 million in my bank account brought me from 13% Pioneer to 47% (roughly 35% increase....consistent with today's result).

As a side question....when I get those 'first discovered' and 'first scanned' bonus pages, are they ON TOP of the 'sell page' values or included within them? It almost feels like my rank is associated more with that than the overall data.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Hmmm....not sure how to check? There is a line about crew somewhere in my payouts I think.....was puzzled when I saw it. Am I unknowingly paying my crew? Last time I think I used a crewmember was 3-4 years ago when I tried fighters (I don't play often, clearly).

I figured out how to determine the crew thing. They were all 'inactive' in a crew lounge. Had 3 of them, and overall they made 37 million each off of my hard work! That's silly.....hired them for ship launched fighters, and they get paid for my exploration? Dumb

They're in standby and 24/7 readiness in case you might need them. :D

As this hasn't been answered yet...

The Universal Cartographics itemized price list which you see before clicking on the button to sell your scanned data (either individual systems or a page at a time) does not include any First Discovery or Mapping bonuses.

The popup box that appears after you click on Sell does include these bonuses.
