Pay Pilot's Federation fine after losing Pilot's Federation permit - how?

OK, typically noob thing to do: I 'ventured' further than I was meant to and lost my Pilot's Federation permit (without even realising I had one to lose).

Now, I've just noticed that the Pilot's Federation has issued a modest fine - presumably for leaving without saying goodbye.

So:
  1. Does the Pilot's Federation have a presence outside its jurisdiction where I can settle my debt to society? Where?
  2. Or will I have to just look at that unpaid fine in my transaction screen until the end of eternity?

You need to grind to elite now as only one other system has them and requires you gain elite for the permit..... Funny.... Another frontier issues of making the game a grind giving you a fine for leaving the new player area...

The fine must be for something else, no? I can't imagine it's simply for leaving the starter zone.

Regardless of what it's for, you can find an office called Interstellar Factor in most low-security systems, where you can pay off fines and bounties from anywhere.

To find a low security system, use a third party site like EDDB

Type your current system in as reference, change the security dropdown to low, and click Find Systems. Not every station has IF, but this is a good way to find them.

Thanks for the messages.

Leaving PF wasn't intentional, but no biggy. I'll just see how I get on out there in the 'real world'.

So, it seems I need to grind my way to becoming Elite, but I guess that's why I'm playing. Was Elite once, way back when computers were still in nappies/diapers in the 80s. (Things have moved on a bit since then...)

And in the meantime, I'll check out one of these Interstellar Factors - thanks for the eddb link sinislao, that looks really helpful.

Big thanks again - and if you happen to bump into me somewhere out there, please don't shoot: I'm probably still flying something made out of chewing gum and tears.
