Having just got a fine and being told that it's a fine in the Achenar Immortal I've gone to Jones dock in the Achenar system thinking I could pay it there be I can't so where do I pay it. Grateful for any help

I really don't understand why people are always confusing fines and bounties. Is it really that hard to understand for a newcomer?

Return to the station that issued the fine and request docking. You will be allowed to dock under 'Anonymous Access' which means you are unable to do anything in the station until the fine is paid. Go to the Contacts in Station Services, click the Authority Contact and pay your fine. Job done. All services will be once again available and you can continue playing as normal.

Can you verify for us that it is a FINE and not a BOUNTY? They are not the same thing and they are not handled the same way. If it's in fact a fine, you will be able to do the thing that Flossy suggests.

edit: and if after all this it's still a thing showing up in your side panel but not showing up in the station or anywhere else, then it's a bug and you might as well report it and/or issue a support ticket maybe.

Definitely a fine for forgetting to do a job and it's states "1,169.229 CR Fine in Achenar Immortals", which is all I have. So I'm thinking that it is a bug

Ahh, a mission failure fine. This page on EDDB gives a few places you should be able to pay it - https://eddb.io/faction/35778, unless of course it is a bug. Good luck.

I've never had a fine for that amount over 1 billion, I believe that it is more likely to be a bug. I've now submitted to ED support to see what they make of it.

Thats a million, not a billion. Can you post some screens of what you are trying to do in which screens?

If it is a fine from a mission then you probably need to go to the mission board to pay it.
