Paying to have your ships delivered to your current location?

I was thinking that this could be a good feature to have. Either that, or the ability to catch a 'space bus' to stations where you have a ship docked.

It would also be cool if you could swap out components from ships docked in the same station. Hardpoints, utilities etc.

I absolutely agree. Someone said that the current method of switching ships is much like playing Towers of Hanoi with just two pegs.

I think this was already mentioned by Frontier that having a ship delivered as an option in the future. Basically to pay to have it delivery to a give station and they at some point it would be arrive.

Not too sure if this is still on the cards or whether I was just dream this or was drunk. :)

I also want the option to spawn in any ship I have. That way I can leave a ship around the systems me and friends hang out and also do exploration outside of the human systems.
What good is delivering a ship to my location if I'm in the middle of the galaxy, but all I wanted is to play with my friends?

My Freagle was 145 LY's from my starting system.
Don't know if I ever get it as I am flying my ASP Explorer.
Enough said!

Mine spawned 177Ly away... I felt a redundancy of sorts... by the time I got to it, selling it was just a formality the 40K did nothing for my bank statement. :)

I think I saw somewhere that this would be implemented. You would basically pay a fee and some dude drives your ship over to you in real time, so it will take just as long as if you did it yourself.

That would be an awesome space job imo. Just flying other peoples ships across the galaxy.

. . . , or the ability to catch a 'space bus' to stations where you have a ship docked.

Liners that 'players' can use are in the design specs somewhere (and even own).
Spacebuses and shuttles must also surely come. If we really want a 'believable' working economy and space-life simulation that the player is immersed in then these have to exist, travelling between popular routes, to and from stations and to and from planets.
These also have to be divided into Inter-stellar capable and non inter-stellar but I will do a separate post on this at some stage.

Would be awesome. Ship would need to be unladen of course and there should be a chance of it never reaching the destination (depending on system types it has to travel through) - this would be treated just like it was destroyed.

There are quite a few ways that this could be implemented. The cost could be determined by fuel expenses (if there is no fuel scoop on the ship, of course), plus a driver/handlers fee.
It could also be implemented that if your ship is unable to make a jump, then it could only be brought so close to your current location. Unless some kind of freighter that can carry ships is brought into play.

Various, different priced options could be the best way to implement it, with varying degrees of risk involved.
