A few new things appearing in PB2... 3 new systems, new interface prettiness and a fab Orbis Station... Here's some of my pics from this evening... Feel free to share yours :)

Don't really want to open a new thread just for paying compliments to Frontier, so I chime in...

After playing for two good hours with the new release I must say I'm extremely happy/impressed.

It's more fluid, transitions are much better, SFX have been pushed to 11, sounds to 12, new UI elements blend in splendidly and work like a charm...

The new transition effects in asteroids fields, the darker "space in shadow", the new station, the... man, all of it...

I can't stop praising this work of art...
I'm so excited thinking about what next weeks may hold! :D

Uhm, I'm conflicted here... I wish I didn't have to watch it EVERY single time...

Maybe one per session... Or once. And stop.
It's just a few seconds and yet still...

Everything looking gorgeous as, those are some stunning screenies. Hurry up and be work-finished time (and then kids-to-bed time lol)!

Just an off-the-head thought - for the Ultra-4K screenshotting, would it be better to remove the cockpit do you think? If you're taking them at that res, you're more than likely taking scenic photos :)

Agreed, PB2 is absolutely stunning. Feeling quite polished now. I do have some goods in my cargo that don't show in commodities for selling but hopefully the reason will become clear to me soon.

ship equipment reset?

Hi All,

let me join to the rest, and agreed, PB2 is absolutely stunning, and improved gameplay!

However there is something I want to know; I know they stated that the reset of the accounts is necessary and they will credit back the credits equal or close to whatever equipments / ships we had before..

well, ca$h wise I 've got back the same, however my sidewinder is reset back to defaults, and I had lost 2 gimballed lasers (pulse and burst) worth of 12k... do you know whenever they are going to correct this?

Anyway, in overall I am very happy with the development progress! :)

Unfortunately, they only reimbursed the value of the ships hulls, so if you were in a starter sidewinder, I assume you would get nothing as it is free.

All kit on ships / cargo etc was not reimbursed.

It wasn't very well communicated, but was stated in a thread somewhere just before PB2 hit.

Had some start up issues- bindings and such. And little worry on my first trade. Thought there was nothing available to buy- you really have to hit the arrow on the buy meter, not just click on the right side on the bar- wayyy to the right.

Anyway- once that was sorted out, played great. Much cleaner and not one crash in about 2 hours. Long day had to get some sleep. But the new station, hauler, HUD changes. Just great. Still much to tweak and fix, but its coming together.
