PC dies, what happens to game progress

If my PC went bang in a very bad way, I assume I could reinstall the game with the ED launcher
But what would happen to my progress in the game, would it be lost, do I need to back up some files, if so what?

Game progress is stored server side not client side. Might be a good idea to back your control bindings though.

Make sure you have the right fire extinguisher. As above, your progress files are on the server.

At worst, your custom bindings would be lost. I keep mine backed up on google drive...for when I ninja install ED on a friend's PC and start playing while some dumb party goes on in the other room

Did I mention I don't have many friends?
