Hardware & Technical PC Gamepad recommendations?

Hello, I think I need a new gamepad soon.
My cheap Xbox one knock-off doesn't work particularly well, and as I'm slowly getting in to PvP, I need something better. It has poor deadzones and the shoulder buttons aren't very responsive.
I don't have a desk (my PC is basically a console these days, and I play on the TV), so HOTAS or KB/M is basically a no.

Anyone got any recommendations?
Ideally cheap ones. Lol

My only idea is an official Xbox one gamepad for PC, which is £50. But is there anything better, and cheaper, that works well with ED?

I truly recommend REWASD. The Xbox One Elite Controller in conjunction with the official Xbox One Chatpad, VoiceAttack and REWASD is a joy to behold. The Chatpad will give you a full functioning keyboard at your fingertips. No additional software is required for the Chatpad, Windows recognises the Chatpad as a keyboard. All you need is to download the free Xbox Accessories app from the Windows store to update the firmware on both the Chatpad and Xbox Controller. REWASD will allow you reconfigure the Elite Controller peddles and more. I believe if you look around (online) you can pick up the Xbox One Gamepad cheaper than £50.

^^^ That is the best answer, 110%. Along with 4 x Eneloop Ni–MH Rechargeable AA Batteries, 2000 mAh for the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller.
The 4 paddles underneath are extremely handy. Buy the REWASD software and program each paddle to perform any function you prefer.

You will also use the REWASD gamepad button re-mapper for a variety of other games as well.
