pc gamer needs

I played RDR2 on xbox one x. It was a nice experience and I thought when it comes to pc I'll try it again. I got more or less the same experience when I bought it on pc, with a few sparkles added.
Players can't always afford gaming pc's, so console is a very nice alternative.

Plus my experience on console is they'll optimize games to run at a reasonable frame rate, whereas it's down to the player on pc, lots of messing around sometimes. So if you have less time for gaming, console is pick up and play, with a lot less headaches.

pc gamers have different needs to console so why released the same game on both?

To make twice as much money.

What do you mean by 'different needs' anyway? Games are games.

Example: for years I ignored consoles, because I thought all you could get for them were stupid and shallow FPS type games. Bought a PS4 Pro to play RDR2, because I didn't know if it would come out on PC (RDR1 didn't), and then discovered I could also play Civ VI on it.

Speaking solely for Microsoft, I believe it's because releasing things on TWO platforms that PlayStation owners can't play on is infinitely more satisfying than releasing only on one ...
