There is a website that allows individuals to sell credits and artefact's across a range of games ED. But no one seems to be bothered about it.

Well, hacking has become a huge business with the amazing amount of money involved in it. I don't wonder that huge corporations are trying to sue these companies because they are simply earning money on their games without making any investments or paying the fee. I know that the Roblox Hacks Cheats service is still working, and Ubisoft cannot sue them because of their location, so this hacking community is away from the US law legislation.
