You can play together (you share the same Open/PG instances), but keep in mind that the Mac version lacks Horizons, so Mac users can't use Engineers or land on planets.
Also the Mac version will stop working when the Q4 update goes live.

Will it?! I missed that!
Not that it matters to me, I uninstalled the Mac version yonks ago, but even so. Damn.

I guess when it goes live things will kick off with all the others who don't watch the forums....
Yup. Here is the announcement: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/424249-Important-Mac-Announcement

Did...did one of my replies get pruned? That seems a tad strange.
Mine got deleted... Lol
Wow, I didn't even notice. Lol
All the more reason to never buy a Mac.
Not at all, I will be happily playing 3.3 on my iMac.
Well that sucks. Me & my son (Who owns Xbox & Mac) used to wing up before my Xbox exploded. Now that I play on PC we are no longer able to do this & I was hoping his Mac would be the answer. Nevermind here's hoping we get crossplay at some point in the future.....
Any mods reading please feel free to lock the thread I have my answer. Many thanks CMDRs

Use Bootcamp? (If you can bring yourself to install Windows on your Mac, that is ...)
I ran Bootcamp from an external USB3 drive for a while, ...
Bootcamp?
Yep, Bootcamp, though the macOS version of TRS19 plays surprisingly well![]()
Interesting option!
