Currently, my main computer is a "Hackintosh". I built the rig with the following specs a little more than 2 years ago:

Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite

i7-4770k @ 4.3Ghz
Corsair H100i
Gigabyte Z87X-OC
32GB Corsair Vengeance LP 1866Mhz
2x SLI EVGA GTX 770 Superclocked with ACX Cooling
Cooler Master HAF X 942 Blue
Corsair HX750 PSU 80+ Gold
Samsung 840 Pro SSD - 128GB
3TB Western Digital Black 7200rpm HDD
1TB Western Digital Black 7200rpm HDD

I love the flexibility of having decent hardware AND the better OS.

Finder is diabolical software.

Please don't call it a "PC". PC is just a machine type, of which the IBM compatible PC is a subtype.
Every Mac has been a PC (a personal computer, rather than a thin client or terminal), and they are IBM compatible PCs since the middle 2000s.

Even the X-Box are - more or less - ibm compatible PCs, except that they are limited in what they can do by their bundled OS that cannot be altered.
i think most know what it means in the poll - but in case there are some who don't
PC = Machines running Windows OS, the Bill Gates variety (-:

Wow that's a lot of Macs.
just just! managed to get my 2011 27" imac running Yosemite and win 8.1. to launch ED.
Easy once you've done it.
I am intrigued as to how different the two systems will be.
often mac versions suffer later updates and are first to be dropped.
Ultrastrike canned the mac version.

Which bugs in explorer?

Explorer works though. Finder can't even cope with networked drives.

Explorer often shows wrong directory names and is ridiculously slow.

Both Finder and Explorer are software not to be used. On the mac, I almost exclusively work on the shell, on Windows I use Total Commander.

Still no excuse to use the wrong terms. A PC has nothing to do with windows.

I guess we'll find out more on Tuesday when the McBeta is out - really looking forward to it ever since the stretch goal was reached in Kickstarter - and oh yes it will be very interesting to see how it will be supported in the long term;)

Some very strange voting options there. I can't vote as for some reason you think people will play solely on one platform or another.

Personally I play on PC (but so is everyone else, as that's the only version currently available) but I would love to be able to get a copy for my Playstation 4 so I can play it while slobbing in the lounge occasionally.

For those of you who hook up your PCs to your big screen TVs and surround sound setups, do you:
- use a long HDMI cable and regular USB cables for your controllers
- use a regular HDMI cable and USB cable extenders on your controllers
- use regular cables for both and sit really close to the TV?

Bill.

I use a 42in LG TV connected to my PC to play. Its 4K but runs in 60Hz using HDMI2.0. I run the sound through optical out to a receiver but the TV sound is also pretty good or headphones for that matter. I only play PC. I have a PS3 but I just use it as a Blu Ray player.
