PC Performance?

I play Elite Dangerous Horizons only, and I am interested to know what performance other PC users are getting.

G: Samsung 850 EVO SSD 500GB (Video Backup)

K: BLU-RAY Drive - DVD-RW Drive

My Monitor is set at 2560 x 1440p, and the refresh rate is 144 Mhz

In Space I get 90 to 96 FPS
Mining Rings 68 to 70 FPS
In Stations 70 to 72 FPS
Planet Surface Mining 55 to 62 FPS

I am not interested in playing Odyssey at all, Horizons is my favourite.

Now are these good results for my PC Spec or is there anything extra I need?
Everything in my home is connected via UTP cable and my internet speed is using Virgin 350

Do you mean, in Odyssey? That's a little subjective as some get great performance and others, terrible (with similar hardware). Generally speaking, I see no reason you shouldn't be okay with that GPU and that screen resolution. It won't be Horizons, but it'll be decent in flat-panel (VR is even more subjective). Space will be similar, if not identical. Stations will be more like planet... planet, without outposts probably similar. It seems outposts + people + AI is the kicker, so if you play it like Horizons, you'll barely notice. I don't.

I say these are fine numbers

There is likely something to gain left and right. In the end there is a fine line between performance and eye-candy

For EDH they are not good numbers for that set up, the only number I have to hand is in deep space my EDH fps was 450 (might have capped that too) with everything at max. Though I had 4.8GHz chip @ 1080p

Must be Ultra settings.
And probably heavy AA plus maybe some supersampling.
Maybe something in the background eating CPU cycles?

For reference, I get similar results as OP at 3840x2160, using slightly tuned Ultra: Ambient Occlusion OFF, Morbad's improved shadows, SMAA, Supersampling x1.0. Although I cap my FPS to 60 in NVidia settings, as my monitor is 60Hz.

No, don't want to play Odyssey at all. My Horizons settings are all high/ultra I dont get any screen tearing any more this was solved by removing Geforce Experience, that seemed to fix that problem, now it is smooth with just an ocassional 1 second screen pause blip every now and then but it is rare.

I think you'll find that your case, the "FRACTAL FOCUS G BLACK GAMING CASE (Window)" will be a bottleneck in relation to running Odyssey as opposed to Horizons.

And your Logitech C920 HD webcam, just as relevant, that'll have to go.

And your G: volume.

;)

Expect half to a 3 quarters your performance from Horizons to Odyssey. Station concourse and planetary settlements are the main hogs, with the noticeable differences in what you would expect judging by the graphics and experience with Horizons. We are not on Star Citizen levels of a badly optimized mess, but for the extra graphic fidelity. You will be wondering where your resources are going!

Is Odyssey worth it? Yes, but it still needs a lot of optimizing, that even 9 months on is still showing glaring issues that F-Dev really seems to be struggling with?

Highlighting just because it seems to be flying over a few of the heads here. ☝️

Numbers seem a bit low for your specs, but as mentioned it really depends on some of the settings used. Looking at Super Sampling in particular, that can easily tank the framerate above 1.5x. If you are playing with everything on ultra at 1440 but no SS though, something must be wrong somewhere, numbers seem a bit too low.
