Newcomer / Intro pc player will move and continue with Xbox Series S but how?

Dear Commanders, greetings
I need an information and/or recommendation for platform change. As a PC player of Elite (700 hours - Steam Platform) I would like to continue my journey with brand new Xbox series s with my progress on pc. How this progress can be done? Should I buy game again for XBOX? Can I transfer my commander etc..?

XBox is limited to creating a new cmdr, there's no way to copy there. Series S is also limited to running the game in 1080p, as it has to run in backcompat mode. Series X runs it nicely at 4k60 though. The console versions are now linked to the 3.8 "Legacy" fork of the BGS used by the optional 3.8 PC client which preserves features like antialiasing and emissive lighting that are currently missing in the PC-only "Live" Odyssey and Horizons 4.0 client and they also retain the classic planetary rendering tech without the repeated tiling seen in 4.0.
