PC Power

Hi All

played the original on a beeb and loved it !

now gonna get the new one but don't no if my PC is up to it so want one kind person who is well into the game to check out my PC specs so help me please here is the model number HP 15-N271SA its a hewlet Packard laptop

Looks good to me. Wont play it on Ultra, but should be able to handle it fine on Low. Or maybe custom.

Code:
AMD Radeon HD 8330 Graphics (up to 1.98 GB)

That is my only concern as I don't know those Radeons that well.

Here is a link to the Specsheet. PDF

Hmmm. Not looking good: 54800.png

Does anyone have any experience running the game on an Intel 4000 graphics?

If no one else knows I might remove my gpu and try for you as my i5 has that gpu in it.

It's a laptop, so don't expect miracles, but the AMD processor/GPU combination might even get you above Low into some Medium settings. My much, much worse spec (i3 4030 and Intel HD4400 Mobile graphics) laptop will comfortably play the game on low at around 18-25fps. It's not smooth as silk, but I can run a rares route at my dining table without feeling it's a glitchy nightmare, and fighting is OK too. It's enjoyable, and that's all that matters It should be better on the HD8000 graphics. Start on Low and work your way up so you don't get too disappointed early on. :)

Check my posted graph above, your intel 4400 graphics are faster than the 4000 so is much faster

Ninja question! My i3 laptop has HD Mobile 4400 graphics, and it's pretty decent as I said in the above post. 3D Mark is a "pure benchmark", so I would try a real game out to see how it behaves. One of the recent ED releases (1.1?) has improved laptop graphics performance cited, so it's actually better on Intel Mobile 4400 than it is on a GT610 desktop GPU! I reckon the AMD should outperform the Intel, but I'm not a complete expert on mobile gaming.

I think you'd be a lot better off getting a desktop mate, I'm sure we can find the parts you need if you tell us how much you want to spend?

Intel 4000 graphics are playable, so long as you're not all about the combat. The frame rate is a bit low, especially around stations.

(in my case the HD4000 is with a 2-core mobile i5 of some description in a Thinkpad).

Best advice for the OP: I believe that the "combat training" is available for free? Download that and see whether the performance is acceptable.
