PC shutdown and rebooted in the middle of ground mission.

While on a ground mission with a friend, my computer suddenly shut off and rebooted. I was in an abandoned settlement restoring power and retrieving data. The crash happened about 15-20min in the game.

Obviously a hardware 'event' which if it has never happened before in different software; is likely down to Odyssey over-stressing some component in your system... GPU and overheating for a guess (NOT an expert, just a fellow end user). I have had heat alarms (set reasonably high) from my GPU (RTX 2080) during planetary mission but so-far never a hard crash and reboot.
If it turns out to be a single isolated case, keep an eye on temps (air flow/cooling?) but carry on. If it happens again I guess you might be headed for a complete component failure. Best of luck commander, fingers crossed for you. o7

Well i continued my mission for another 20 - 30 min or so after the reboot. No crash reboot this time. Also played Doom Eternal(ultra settings, RTX on) for an hour or so just to make sure the reboot was an isolated incident. Still did not experience another crash reboot.

I did turn of AMD FSR for ED Odyssey that night. Not sure if that has anything to do with the crash, but that feature just made the graphics looked jagged and weird for my 1080p resolution so i turned it off. No issues with Frames rates either when i turned FSR off.

It is likely that this is a driver problem for some device (maybe a video card or other device) or some software.
Check devices in Device Manager for incorrect installation.
If there were BSODs, then by the error code or by the name of the application, you can determine the cause of the problem. (for example, I had a similar problem due to ASUS RAMDISK). To display the "blue screen" (BSOD), in the Windows settings in "System failure", uncheck the box "perform automatic reboot"
As well as:
Try reinstalling the drivers for your video card. Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove the video driver from the system. Run DDU only in Windows safe mode.
