PC Specs

Hi all, I’m looking at buying a computer to play planet zoo; in grading my laptop which doesn’t meet minimum specs. The specs of the machine I’m looking at are as follows:

Intel Core i5-10400F 2.9GHz Comet Lake 6 Core 12 Thread LGA1200 , Intel H410 Chipset mATX Motherboard, 500GB NVME M.2 PCIE SSD, Asus GeForce RTX 2060 Phoenix 6GB Graphics Card, 550W 80 PLUS ATX Power Supply, GOF LED 12V RGB STRIPS (with controller remote), KARUZA V5 TG Gaming Case 3 FANS, Windows 10 Home, AC1200 Dual Band PCI-E WiFi ADAPTER, Cooler Master Hyper H411R Universal Air CPU Cooler White Led, 2TB Hard Drive Disk, Team T-Force DELTA RGB 16GB 3200 MHz DDR4 Gaming Memory
Just wondering if this is a good machine for the game. I only really play the sims 4, planet coaster and I want to play this one. Not much other computer work. Otherwise I’m looking at a dell which has an i7 10400f and nvidia 2060 8gb graphics card with 1tb ssd storage for $300 more.

thanks for any input.

Looks good enough.

Note there will always be a drop off in FPS after a while depending on the amount of objects, peeps or animals present in the park.
There is no setup that can outperform that threshold which everybody hits at some point.

Whenever someone brings up computer specs I cant reccomend enough GeForce NOW. Please consider the following before making a purchase of a brand new, expensive computer:

GeForceNOW is a program that runs through steam to optimize your Planet Zoo (and plenty of other games) performance. There is a free version which includes sometimes waiting a long time to play the game, only being able to play for 6 hours at a time, and not as good performance. I personally have the GeForceNOW Founders membership which is $4.99/month ($60 a year) which is so worth it! You try a free trial for 45 days before the billing period starts with the Founders membership. It is the best purchase I've made in a long time and is so worth it. I've built a pretty decent sized zoo with high settings and it runs perfectly fine.

If you need any more clarification or information, let me know or watch Paulsley's video on it which is very helpful in understanding it.

This is a really good suggestion. Especially as a new computer can be really expensive, while this is a decent solution.
I say decent, because if you have a pc that can run Planet Zoo without issue, i'd rather have that than Geforce Now.

I own a Nvidia Shield TV for a few years now, and everything is great about it, but I hardly play games on it (especially because I'm a noob with controllers (I still need to buy a wireless keyboard for it).
