Zoo Tycoon PC version in 2015?

I stumbled over an announcement of Dutch localization that comes out in September and includes PC version besides 360 & One.

Zoo Tycoon voor Xbox One (Xbox One) | Game Pagina - XGN
Is it true? If so, was the game simply ported, or redone to meet the wishes of ZT2 fans?

Hope someone from the devs bothers to answer.

Well, a week passed since this topic was started. And no replies. I suspect the game's further development is simply abandoned now.
There was a steady and reliable fanbase for ZT franchise among PC players.
Ignoring that fact was MORONIC decision, since specially-created ZT3 game could bring you more damn bucks than existing console one, which can't please any sophisticated player - just kiddies.

Not really up too Frontier since they were just hired by Microsoft to make the game.

They recently announced that they are making another self published Tycoon game over here though:

Well, I don't care about the other titles. I just want to know, whether the list of platforms for Dutch localization is correct so there will be a PC version; or including PC in the list is just an 'innocent' error.

Hi,

I have the Xbox One version of Zoo Tycoon and believe me - unless major improvements are made you don't really want it. There is a tiny zoo limit - meaning you can only build a small amount of objects including decorations before the game prevents you from building anything else. Visit the Zoo Limit thread there to get an idea about the problem. It was just strange how you are given a huge area to build in but can only fill about a quarter of it before hitting the limit. (and that is using the space generously by spacing things out )

As it stands you are really not missing much and I am a huge fan of the Zoo Tycoon experience. Stick with the original Zoo Tycoon for pure gameplay excellence. Or even the Wildlife Park 2 on PC is pretty good and in full 3D.

And Tinman is right - Frontier just developed the game for Microsoft. Microsoft own the game and so they will be the ones who decide if a PC version is going to happen. They are the ones to ask. Frontier have nothing really to do with it now.
