Newcomer / Intro PC vs Console

I first started playing this game on PC. And boy did I really get into it. Ended up upgrading my whole system, getting VR. Well, then I decided to try it on my Xbox for some reason. Whoa! I don't know about anyone else, but I found I am enjoying this game so much more on the console! I guess if have to choose between playing it on virtual reality or play it lounging in my recliner with a controller, I'm picking the recliner it seems!

Anyone else migrate from PC to the recliner? lol
I guess part of the other reason I like it on the console is it kind of levels the playing field somewhat. Everyone is forced to play using the Xbox controller, or only approved xbox equipment.

So now that I'm using a controller, there are a few things I wish FDEV would change. Namely, allowing throttle to be bound to the analog triggers, and allowing headlock to go digital so I can bind it to the arrow pad

I played in VR with a HOTAS since I started, just upgraded to an Index and although it does notably worse on black levels, the difference in resolution and the absence of screen door effect makes it much more enjoyable. I can read everything without issues. I don't really see myself switching to any other way of playing the game at the moment.

I've been known to play sitting on the loo.
So much more realism! You didn't think the ships come with a separate toilet now did you? That commander chair has several ... built in functions. Also very convenient when you get interdicted.

Playing in VR, on the PC, while sitting on a recliner (well, an IKEA Poäng, actually), using dual sticks.

Laptop and KB only.

Great. Now I have to watch Mary Poppins or some other G rated movie to FLUSH that vision out of my head!

Butchered this for topicality:
