PC was working, now monitor won't come on - details in text

Background
Yesterday wife's PC was working. She had a long break, i guess it went into sleep mode or something. When she returned, wiggling mouse didn't wake it up, neither did holding power or full reset.
PC sounds like it is booting normally.

Things tried
Bios beep (MSI A320M) - single beep, indicating no errors.
Tried my monitor on her comp, no difference. Tried her monitor on my comp, works fine.
Tried switching to on-board graphics from PCI card, no difference (not sure if enabled in BIOS but no way to check).
Tried both removing battery and using CMOS drain jumper - neither helped.
Tried reseating memory, tried in different slot. Not tried different RAM, not sure i have something compatible, but can dig around, perhaps steal from another comp to test. However, BIOS beeps do not indicate a RAM problem.

Status
Comp sounds like it is booting normally, just nothing appearing on screen.
Thoughts?

Really not sure, but it seems more like an hardware malfunction than a problem with settings. Maybe a piece of electronic fried up, somewhere between your graphic card and your monitor. I experienced very similar issues on my old laptops, often one transistor died because of overheat.

Edit: I meant, it could be a faulty piece on your motherboard 🥶

You should remove the PCI graphics from the computer and see if you get any image using the on-board gfx
Also, before this ☝️ maybe you can check with a different hdmi / display port cable

Tried removing the graphics card and using on-board. Tried different monitor with different port.

Same result.

Did you try a different cable?
For the onboard graphics card to work, the external has to be removed completely (remember to unplug from mains before that).
Try removing any external devices, leave it without any cables for a minute and then reconnect just the mains and monitor (not even mouse-keyboard, I assume they're usb).

Have you tried swapping the GPU to one which is known to work?

On boot can you see any BIOs output? For example my Z420 BIOS is seen in DVI but swaps over to HDMI when Windows loads.

Is the monitor expecting a different input (i.e. monitors have HDMI / Display Port / DVI input and the monitor is looking at the wrong one the PC is outputting)?

Already tried that, read my OP ;)
Seems to me that it's not the monitor and, if you did changed cables, not the cables either.

If you completely removed the PCI GFX and tried to use the onboard GFX and it's still not working, then it's something on the motherboard / Power Supply
If you can check with a different PS, do that
Then disconnect the hdd/ssd and remove the memory sticks and see if the mobo delivers different beeps at startup

Ok, swapped out graphics card, now working.

Seems like other card is faulty. Will try it in the other comp, see what happens there. Strange on-board graphics didn't work. Checked BIOS but its set to work (auto), maybe on-board graphics is also borked.

Thanks for the input all.

Likely a confused bios
Test is the gpu is alright and reset your bios. Start on the igpu at first..

Step by step. Good luck

Tested it in another computer, also not working there.

Both PCs though don't want to play with the integrated graphics!

Try reseating the ram , and also remove the CPU and reseat that to , also use some compressed air to remove any dust build up that can sometimes cause booting problems
