My understanding is that PZ’s engine has evolved to the point where they cannot be reintegrated, and running both rides and animals would probably be a huge drain on the game.I know it will probably never happen but I wish frontier do the same thing CA did with total war Warhammer franchise for Planet franchise. Meaning if we own both games they give us new sandbox/challenge. Mode where we can build parks with all the assets and features from both games.
Hi there! We don't have anything to announce about a game combining Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo into one.I know it will probably never happen but I wish frontier do the same thing CA did with total war Warhammer franchise for Planet franchise. Meaning if we own both games they give us new sandbox/challenge. Mode where we can build parks with all the assets and features from both games.
I'd love to see it.I know it will probably never happen but I wish frontier do the same thing CA did with total war Warhammer franchise for Planet franchise. With Frontier it's always the opposite; if they come right out and say something isn't happening, it's pretty much definitely not happening.Humme but Dev replying nothing to announce means there's something?
It's definately not just you, I'm in the same boat, but it's a cultural thing. From my understanding, theme park elements are quite common in the US, while at least where I live (germany) it is frowned upon, because most parks that have both really don't have the best animal welfare and do not fulfill the important aspects of a zoo but are just animal collectors for profit. At least it feels like it. Plus, all the noise that comes with theme park elements is questionable for animal welfare to say the least. It may just be me but I really don't want this. Planet zoo is about animals and conservation, adding in theme park elements in any way just takes away from that. Keep the games seperate.
Common in the us is an overstatement; at least where I live most zoos have a merry-go-round and miniature train at most. I agree that I don’t really see the appeal though. It's definately not just you, I'm in the same boat, but it's a cultural thing. I also think, if a game would be combined, a lot of detail and potential would go to waste. It's unlikely that a combined game would make double the amount of money PZ does on its own, so there will probably not be double the funding. So what would we get more? Animals or rides? I mean, even now that we have a standalone, PZ is sometimes lacking in the animal departmeant, meaning a lot of species interactions missing, new enrichment items only avalable for a few species etc. Those problems would add up with a combined game.
I think you're right about it being a cultural thing. I'm from the UK where I think we have similar attitudes on animal welfare issues to Germany. There really isn't an equivalent to Sea World or Busch Gardens here. Zoos and theme parks are just very separate things. It's definately not just you, I'm in the same boat, but it's a cultural thing.
