People are killing Thargoid Interceptors solo already.

So question, are people using new anti-Thargoid weapons, or traditional ones?

I know the know limpet controller is out, which can set out limpets to take a sample for a Thargoid, but is that the only new device/weapon/module so far available?

EDIT: Looking at the video, just standard weapons?

Still, the fact a Player CAN kill them solo is a bit sad. Lets wait for the bigger and more Dangerous Thargoids.

I think it's appropriate that the thargoids send their weakest low budget ships to scout and scoop stuff, after all, they believed that we couldn't hurt them. Now the fun begins, as you say.

You can't kill one without thargoid weapons. End of. The new ax bioweapons are being used along with caustic resistance hull reinforcements. When I get back from cape town I'll be trying to solo one myself.

Oh! I didn't see any new anti-Thargoid weapons being used in those videos? What did I miss!

The videos seem to show 100% conventional weapons/hardware being used?

Players moaned they were invincible, now they moan they can be soloed.

FD is sort of in a damned if they do damned if they don't position if you ask me.....

I forget who it was, I think one of the mods, who said... FD will know they got it right when half the players cry nerf and the other half cry buff. True wisdom right there.

The CR HRP were patched out I thought?

Already? I've been in cape Town and somewhat out of touch, the last 48 hours.

It being possible to kill them solo is the right move because there are loads of people who never want to play multiplayer.

For wings, what happens when 4 or 5 Thargoid Interceptors all warp in at the same time? A load of skilled players being able to take out a single ship is expected but I am sure these people would find a fleet of Thargoids one hell of a challenge.

Like others have said:
1) it's probably their basic ship
2) There will be bigger ones and
3) ..............how about engaging 2 or 3 of the buggers simultaneously !!![alien][big grin][big grin][big grin][big grin]

Conventional weapons can take down the panic shield the thargoid deploys after each heart is taken out.

The only way to damage the hull/hearts is with the AX weapons.

Yeah, and why couldn't that be in the release from day one?
Because escalation of plot?

Surely would have been more interesting if Solo players could have hired/used some NPC wingmen.

As it stands, surely the problem is with the new USS is they have to cater for a single player to a Wing of four players...? And that's a huge huge difference!

Ones with more hearts?

because this is apparently story line.... keeping everything "mysterious" and only forum users can decode and understand what the hell is going on.

for those not on the forums is like being given an ikea flatpack without instructions.

It's just the usual MMO style "look at me how cool I am" thing.

Some players apparently can only enjoy such fights if they know that others have difficulties. Add a lot of exaggeration and you get the usual thread about "challenge" and "risk" and all that bragging nonsense.

Yesterday the Thargoids where to hard, god modded, and today they are to easy and the salt flows freely from those who didn't manage to upload their own "server first" video. They need to cover up their "failure" by flooding the forums with "too easy!" threads.
