Peoples play style in JWE

Hey everyone This is my first post and I just wanted to start a bit of a discussion.

So, the question is: Do you guys and gals prefer making a “realistic” environment for your dinosaurs, and maybe have same era dinosaurs? Or do you not really care and will create and add whatever looks the nicest?

I personally reckon I’ll be trying to create fairly realistic environments, since I think it shows the dinosaurs doing what they’d most likely actually be doing but I’d like to hear what you think.

Also, what about hybrids?

It depends how many tools we are going to have, but i will create the park like if it was a real park.
Iam also going to incubate those hybrids that have been presented in the film, but not trikeceratops... If it will be available cuz that one is destroying the real Jurassic park spirit. [big grin]

That seems pretty fair

A question though, what makes indominus so different from any other hybrid?

Ooooh, that’d be interesting to see!
Shame there aren’t many Triassic species, although I can *kind of* see why.

I haven't really thought about that yet... But I think it depends on the story mode. Which dinosaurs you unlock first etc.

I don't think I'll have any of the hybrids though. Unless it's the only way to get a complete rating on the islands. [money]

I'm still unsure, if we only get the two hybrids from the movies, or if we can modify them ourselves. Can anybody confirm?

I am honestly not going to have any real rhyme or reason to my park. Most of it is just going to be whatever dinosaurs I like. I am going to separate Carnivores and Herbivores though. I don't want them killing each other.

The best thing I can image would be creating a working ecosytem. So my plans for JWE are wide open enclosers with as much of nature and realism as possible. The most species should be far away from the Visitors and be shown to the public through Wildlife safaris. That would be cool.

Probably I will make a big mess as I go along and try to do missions, research and unlock new things, buildings, attractions and species.
At one point however we will unlock Isla Sorna and there I will try to make it as beautiful and aesthetically pleasing as possible.
Put the herbivores in a couple of big enclosures and make individual enclosures for all the big carnivores and a couple for the raptors and other social carnivores.
I will also try to make a very nice main street, hopefully in the middle of the park so that I can build all my enclosures around it.

Dinosaurs are gonna be housed with species they actually lived with.

Really a bit early to tell really, game isnt even out yet so no idea how on my play style. Not enough info to go on for me.

Back in JPOG I would seperate it into Jurassic/Cretaceous periods for the herbivores to begin with. I never worried at geographical location. Would also have seprate enclosures for the carnivores. Would eventually open up the enclosures into a massive single open enclosure taking up the majority of the island for the herbivores and had a selection of carnivores in the same one. Kind of like a mini site B. Would also have smaller enclosures for those smaller species that didnt do well in the larger enclosures such as homalocephale, kentros (silly AI) and raptors. This also provided easier viewing for the visitors. Maybe I will play with this sort of style in JWE, but its waaaayyy to early to tell.

At first I was going to recreate the Jurassic Park of 93, but I’ve decided to now save that idea for sandbox mode. I’m just gonna have whatever dinosaurs I get 100% DNA of, whether I like them or not. I’ll obviously have numerous herbivores in the same enclosure to save space.

I’ll probably want to have enclosures with similar species since we have quite a few. Depending on carnivore behavior I’ll probably keep them separated.

Glad I'm not the only one thinking of building parks based on time period. I plan on doing at least one island with different zones for Jurassic and Cretaceous dinos. Is there an info tab in game that tells you what period a dino is from? I haven't watched all the gameplay videos (as to not over hype myself)... won't be a problem with the more popular dinosaurs but it would be nice for lesser known species.

I would have thought so, there was on JPOG. Failing that, there is always Google.
