That is awesome, i love how there is so much to see in this game. Just out of curiousity, for those who are planning to go out there and 'never come home' so to speak, what direction you going to head in, toward the centre of the galaxy?
Well that was sort of 'off to the left-centre' when heading away from the populated systems, so imagine a diagonal line between the centre of the galaxy and its far edge. I found some interesting systems out there - one with two black holes where one of them was orbiting really tightly to a large star. However, I couldn't get close enough to take a decent screenshot as it looked to be just above the surface of the star.
I think whatever direction you go in, you'll find something. I noticed a lot more nebulae on the map after the last update. At the moment I'm heading back to the home systems for some R&R![]()
Cool. i moved up to the alliance systems, notably HE BO as i can't access Alioth without a permit but to be honest it hasn't been a success, there's almost no-one around and there are many more stations which are something like 350kls away from the main star. so it's not great for a hauler, i don't want to support the federation but i have to say their space is a lot more happening and profitable, or at least i found it to be so.
You can make some decent profits within the Alliance, but because there's less of them, you have to look a bit harder. Just do what I did - trade solid for a few weeks, and then you'll be able to update your hauler engines to jump ~20ly. That's when you can head out into the wild black yonder![]()
There's a huge federation system very near Alioth but i can't remember the name, Ursa majoris? i could be totally wrong, it's very nearby and has billions of citizens, i think it would be a great coup for the Alliance if we could flip it over to Alliance ownership, it has tons of stations and looks like a great place for general adventuring, but i saw one person in 8 hours of play over 2 days, so sadly i don't think it will happen. What faction you going to support Swan?
