Perfomance Issues after some time of playing

After loading game i have around 50-60fps on foot and on any other scenarios , but after 10-15 minutes of playing my fps drops twice and gpu load drops from 100% to 70-80% !!Changing graphics settings has no effect. Any way to fix this ?

My hardware is laptop with Ryzen 5 5600H , 16Gb Ram , RTX3050 4GB , nvme ssd.

Pack some dry ice under the laptop? ;)

(Only teasing but it sounds like the CPU is throttling down due to getting a bit toasty. Have you monitored your temps whilst playing?)

Yes i am using Rivatuner for monitoring all temperatures , cpu&gpu load and etc . Everything is fine with temperatures , no overheating or throttling , all drivers is up to date to.

I've wondered if that's a thing. My CPU stays around roughly 80C when playing and I experience the same issues as OP but only on the ground. Could heat be the issue?

Here is results when just start to play and after 10 minutes

I get performance issues after playing for a while too, but never in space. Only ground playing - either srv in guardian sites or normal on foot osyssey settlements.

But it's usually happening way later than 10 minutes if it actually happens (it's not a guarantee, sometimes it happens sometimes not)
However my specs are much higher (laptop, ryzen 9 5900hx, rtx3080/16gb, 32gb ram). The issue is not heat related in my case. I have fps limited to 60 and as a result my laptop run rather cool

I would like someone more knowledgeable than me (and that is a LOT of people) to comment on this point but looking at the two images, I would think your GPU has switched to a lower-power mode.

Maybe try running GPU-Z to let its sensor display show what is going on with the GPU.

Here is another result after opening galactic map (before open was 60fps)

I noticed that gpu power draw is much more lower when fps drops

whats happening is after a few minutes all the LODs (Level of detail) meshes with the highest vertice count have all loaded in , all scripts are running , same thing happens to me , first landing at a station 25 fps , after a few minutes 17fps , LODs change to the highest detail after sometime , so you gotta lower your quality settings some to get your higher fps , if you look at gpu usage it goes from 74% to 100% between screenshots , indicates the gpu is maxed out after a few minutes

Already tried change settings to low and the same effect , that's why i don't understand why this happening.

either way your GPU is working hard , what resolution you running ? Try deleting your GPUworktable in your odyssey folder , or try deleting your graphics folder as well see if that helps

Odyssey, is notorious for being very demanding for GPU’s. I’m running an overclocked & water cooled RTX 3090 and even that is put under heavy load, so unfortunately until the game is better optimised you only have a few choices. Lower screen resolution, lower game resolution.
