Performance?

Hello All! Not sure if this was already posted as I couldn’t find any discussions about it. Does anyone know if this game is going to be optimised better than PC? Do we know anything about the next gen of cobra engine? Is the game going to use DX12? Thx super excited and def pre-ordered:)

I only have one thing to add.
On the Steam store page on the bottom of the System Requirements is the following:
  • Additional Notes: Minimum specifications may change during development
It's not fully set in stone but a good indicator what to expect.

I always assumed games running on DX12 were better optimised? There were a number of forum posts about this for planet coaster, mentioning that the game would run better (higher fps) if it ran on DX12?

It does because it utilizes all the cores of your CPU but at this moment of writing only Windows 10 fully supports DX12.
Now in the past I'm fairly sure that Civilization 5 could be started up either in DX10 or DX11, depending what OS version you had.
I'm hoping that this would also be the case with Planet Zoo.
It's wishful thinking but who knows

Thx Lora for your response. I hope a dev can shed some light into this. It would be interesting to know if they will support DX12, however as factabulous (thx for the reply👍) has mentioned the minimum specs state DX11, so I hope it can also support DX12...🤔

I am currently thinking about pre-ordering the (very attractive) game Planet Zoo. However, I have a question about graphics card compatibility (I'm not an expert, and I don't know where to ask this)
Based on the recommended configuration, I see that at least one NVidia GeForce GTX 770 is required. However, I own a Nvidia GeForce 1050 Ti. After comparison on the Internet, I realized that it may appear a little less powerful than the minimum required (but higher than the minimum AMD Radeon required) What impact will this have on the game? Will the game still start? Will he tend to bug a lot? I hope my question is pretty clear aha.

The game will be able to start and you won't experience any more bugs than with other similar graphics cards, but the performance may be affected depending on the exact specification of a specific graphics card when compared with other graphics cards.
