Permit Locked Systems near the Loop

These have been hopefully locked for some reason. I've been there and back again maybe a half a dozen times since the lock, finding my way in here and there. At first it was kind of fun finding a way, but now for various events or the like when I find my way out there again, I'm hitting all the same systems I've already been to over and over again.

Frontier? You got anything for us here? It's been a while. And what about the Cone Nebula, eh?

Eh?

Is this something that'll be addressed in Q4? Honestly, I don't mind waiting for future content, but there is some sort of content that'll support this and reasons for it in the future, right?

I'm just saying. There are a lot of points of interest and nebulae out there that draw players in for understandable reasons.

Thanks for listening to my mini rant whilst I'm heading back from there once again, again. :p

Those system locked since late 2014.there are even bigger locked areas like Blaize1 other side of the Galaxy. These are for further expansions hopefully.

Many of them have been locked just before the CNE, as one of the waypoints was going to be near the Cone Nebula. I think that was in 2016.

Edit: Yes, 2016.

As this really is kinda unwanted, just a bit of info; even when I'm travelling across the bubble (which happens a lot when you set out to engineer a ship), I set the destination, then use the "stars visited" filter in the star map, set the visited stars as invisible and apply the filter to route. At least you'll always travel across stars you've never been to and collect some scan data while travelling.

I'll have to look into that. Nice point though, if this is an option. Thanks, mate.

I didn't know it is an additional filter... If so, thank you, too!

Yes, I go exploring primarily in a fully combat loaded Vulture, so filtering for scoop-able stars (O, B, A, F, G, K, M) has been rather useful at times.

I've hit two non-scoop-able stars out of roughly 30 so far, so I think it is still favoring the filter where it can.

Oh, just to be clear, that included traversing through the galactic plane of brown dwarfs, so I think it is a noteworthy testcase. If it were further up or down, I wouldn't be as confident with the results.

Well, though to say now, actually. I've hit a few more non-scoop-ables, and going back to filters for scoop-able stars and deselecting and reselecting them changed the route. Hmm...

I do hope these filters can be compounded/cross referenced, if they aren't already.

Does someone have some more insight on this? Maybe Frontier could chime in here?

If it doesn't actually work this way (at least not yet), I understand. It would be nice to know either way though.

Cheers.

Maybe there are absolutely MASSIVE bugs and problems out there and we haven’t realized it so FD Locke’s us out.

Presumably they have some plans for the permit locked systems or those contained within, if that's what you're talking about. As for the filters, it'd be nice if they could function together, if that isn't the case presently.

Locking systems off for the sake of some bugs seems rather unlikely to me. Well, depending on the sort of bugs we're referring to, at least. ;)
